Rens, Running Man (aka Steve) and I had a day out in Whitby. Video taken 27th October 2019. Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula (1897) was inspired by the atmosphere and sites in Whitby.

  1. Love Whitby.Never need an excuse to visit. But an overnight stay on goth weekend would be great!!

  2. So interesting! Love everyone's costumes. I'd never heard of jet, so that was very interesting!

  3. πŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆMonkaaaaaaaaa πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜Š

  4. Whitby has become a victim of its own success, so crowded on event weekends that you can hardly move. Come visit in the winter when things are much less crowded and you can feel much more of the historic atmosphere the town has to offer.

  5. Just to say.. That's my Son, Myself and Wife at 9.11 – 9.25… What a great weekend we had (as usual) πŸ™‚

  6. A gold star goes to…the gentleman at 11:40
in the tutu and fishnets carrying the lace parasol.
He had to be freezing, but one must suffer for beauty.

  7. I'm a goth and I feel under dressed compared to a lot of these people particularly the older ones in Victorian outfits I wonder do they dress like that all the time ??And sleep in coffins ?

  8. That was fun. Interesting mix of people enjoying the day. Loved the grand old costumes. Thank you.

  9. Haha! My youngest daughter (now 34) went through a goth stage as a teenager. Her dad was horrified, but I just saw it as a passing phase, which it was. She had a pair of those huge moon boots. She did look ridiculous a lot of the time. So, this looks like fun! Did you dress up?

  16. My daughter laughes at me and says if I were 30 years younger I would be Goth.πŸ˜†. I have a fasination with Victorian Goth clothes and architecture.

  17. πŸ΄πŸ΄πŸ’™…so glad that you are showing more of this Goth weekend adventure! 18. Thank you Tara, wow what an atmosphere what a village, port and coastline, yep i recall the neck breaking platforms of the seventies too ours of course were hidden under very long bell bottoms and flares lol specially if you were only five foot tall like me thoroughly enjoyed soaking this one up loved the buildings costumes shops and look forward to any more footage to come xx

  19. Wow, lots of entertainment. Had to pick my jaw up from the floor a couple of times.😯 And a new use for hoods – toddler tethers! Approximately 182 million year old wood – yes that's definitely approx.🀭 Some of the costumes are amazing.πŸ’œ

  20. What fun having an excuse to dress up just any way we want to. Looked cold, though. Last night had Halloween trick or treat here, but it was so cold & windy with rain that turned to snow that we had a lot fewer than usual. But there some great costumes. (Michigan.,USA) Really have enjoyed the videos. Saw very few people smoking & wondered what the laws were there. Thanks again. Oh, anyone want some candy?

  21. What a great day I would have had! In my black velvet outfit, of course. Great video, Running Man πŸ‘πŸΌ ❀️

  22. Lovely to see all the costumes and lucky the sun was shining!
I was just imagining Apollo walking nonchalantly among all the goths 🀣 He would not even need a costume πŸ§›β€β™‚οΈπŸŽβ™₯️

  23. People might want to look up the Victorian era photographs of Whitby by Frank Sutcliffe. (Francis Meadow Sutcliffe)

  24. I’ve never visited, your videos have made me want to , looks very nice.. plus fresh fish is a bonus. Those people must have been stared at a lot. Some of the outfits looked ok. Lol.

  25. That looks great fun. Thanks Tara,Rens & Steve. Love and hugs to you all πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

  26. Tara I wish I could come there it’s so cool people seem excepting it’s so cool I just watched Dracula the other day and they went to Whitbe and that is were the ship washed up

  27. That was fun to see! Charming historic town, lovely setting. Bright and crisp fall day. Plenty of folks enjoying the sights. Great variety of Goth wear. Thank you for sharing it all with us.

  28. OMG, the shops! The mixture of outfits both Goth & Steampunk are just amazing.I love those staggered flower box design. Oh and thank you so much Tara for explaining Jet. It is well sought after in the crystal community but there was no mention of it as you explained it. England has everything it seems that it is me. : ) Many thanks to Rens and Steve for being our film crew, great work guys! : )
