St Alkmund’s Church Whitchurch North Shropshire. The present church is the fourth to have been built on the site. The first Anglo Saxon church built around 900ad was replaced by a church built of white Grinshill stone and is thought to be the origin of the name Whitchurch (Whitechurch). Photography/original music by Neil G.
